Piston Coat “V” Series High Temperature Ceramic Thermal Barrier Coating was designed to provide thermal barrier protection for piston domes, the corresponding combustion chambers, and valve faces. This specialized formulation withstands detonation impact while reducing surface temperatures and increasing combustion chamber efficiency.

This cutting edge ceramic technology is continually tested under extreme conditions, both in the laboratory and in the field, with excellent results. Piston Coat has proven to be a cost effective coating with high-end performance.

Piston Coat is formulated using a unique ceramic backbone, which is able to withstand temperatures in excess of 1600°F, while having little effect on film integrity. Many coatings will micro-crack and breakdown when exposed to high temperatures. Piston Coat uses combustion heat to flux and become harder and more abrasion resistant.
